Zyban ([B]upropion) is a round purple film coated tablet with the engraving of “Zyban 150” on its surface. It is a sustained released tablet manufactured in only a single strength (150 milligrams).
Zyban sustained release tablets are taken in a daily 150 mg dose for 3 days, then 300 mg thereafter, for total treatment period of 7-12 weeks. You are supposed to quit within the first 2 weeks of use. Seperate dose intervals by at least 8 hours.

Individuals should take Zyban as directed by your physician. The usual recommended dosage is to take one 150-mg tablet in the morning for the first 3 days. On the fourth day, begin taking one 150-mg tablet in the morning and one 150-mg tablet in the early evening. Doses should be taken at least 8 hours apart. The safety and efficacy of Zyban have not been established in children under 18.
