Closeness to God is something that has not always been there for Zach Johnson. He was raised to know Christ and actively participated in the family's church. In fact, Johnson says, he did have a relationship with Jesus. His parents taught their children to take their faith seriously, and Johnson prayed trusting God. But many aspects of his faith were not mature enough to survive the first few years away from home.

As with many golfers who have breakthrough years, Johnson is finding invitations for postseason events like the LG Skins Game and other outings coming his way. Johnson will make his first Skins Game appearance and will be trying to join the last two Skins Game winners, Fred Funk and Stephen Ames, as Skins rookies who won the overall title.

At the moment, Zach is underway with developing the Spring ‘08 line of Tank Theory threads, titled Spirit. He’s ... working on a side project with his partner, starting a belt buckle company called Death Metal Buckles, which is set to launch early next year.

Johnson became a father on Thursday, Jan. 4 as his wife, Kim, gave birth to son David William "Will" in Orlando, Florida. The baby weighed nearly ten pounds. The couple have been married for three years.
