Johnson and his wife Kim reside in Orlando, Florida, and are members of First Baptist Church in Orlando[2]. They have one son, Will. On September 4, 2007, Zach Johnson led the singing of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" during the 7th Inning Stretch of the Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field.

In conversation Johnson is pleasantly sarcastic and something of a know-it-all who's always game for a debate, but his halting speech made it clear that he was overwhelmed by the moment. "This is a day I will never forget," Johnson told the crowd, confiding afterward that his knees were still shaking.

Johnson seemed to know his own game and had confidence in it. Hey- Hogan managed his game and had quite a record as you all know. Not that Zach is gonna become Hogan. But he has a nice solid game it seems and by winning at August has his ticket punched...............R.L.
