Nothing on the day was hotter than el Aynaoui's serve. He hit 33 aces, nearly one for every degree of temperature. In the first set, he hit a Sampras-like three 200 kmh-plus serves in one game. He won another with three aces. This was against a man whose return of serve is one of his fundamental strengths, and who is not inclined in any conditions to play within himself. El Aynaoui ... demonstrated a monstrous, crunching forehand that did not fail him all day.
