Formed in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, the Ying Yang Twins comprises friends Kaine (b. Eric Jackson, 16 December 1978, USA) and D-Roc (b. D'Angelo Holmes, 13 February 1979, USA). The duo first came together in 1996, after a mutual acquaintance introduced them. They quickly realized that their rhyming styles complimented each other perfectly, but the only problem was that D-Roc was already signed to Ichiban Records as a solo artist (having issued the largely ignored True Dawgs). The label graciously allowed D-Roc to record elsewhere, as he and Kaine worked on a session with renowned rap producer Beat-In-Azz (who at the time, went by the name DJ Smurf), appearing together on his Dead Crunk album.

The Ying Yang Twins are an Atlanta crunk rap duo. The duo is made up Kaine and D-Roc. These two are not twins as their name says; they are not even related at all. They are both well known for their saying Hanh!! Practically every song you hear will have them saying this catch phrase. It has become a big part of their music.

Ying Yang Twins and Da Muzicianz are ... planning to tour this year. "Da Muzicianz is my main priority now," says D-Roc. "I'm hoping that this is a success, then Kaine will come out and be a success and Ying Yang will come out and bust heads again."
