Yellowcard: Bands
built 287 days ago
Yellowcard has been on the road since the July release of "Paper Walls," including a summer stint on the Vans Warped Tour and a winter run supporting Linkin Park in Japan. The Jacksonville, FL-based bandmates just returned from the Persian Gulf, where they played for US troops as part of a USO entertainment tour.

Yellowcard is a pop-punk band from Jacksonville, Florida. Their music is usually categorized as either pop punk or emocore, though their use of a violin makes them slightly unique among these genres.

Yellowcard Tickets The original members of Yellowcard – Ben Dobson, Todd Clarry, Ben Harper, Sean Mackin, Warren Cooke, and Longineu Parsons – came together at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997. Shortly thereafter they cut tracks and independently released their first album, “Midget Tossing.” The album made barely a ripple, and soon Yellowcard underwent major changes, perhaps the most siginficant the addition of guitarist Ryan Keys. With the addition of Keys, Dobson and Clarry were history, and Keys had his own ideas about how the band could best achieve success. At his urging, Yellowcard made the crosscountry move to Southern California, hoping to find success on the west coast.
Yellowcard has been promoting their new album nonstop since its release and has started touring for Paper Walls. They supported Blue October in their United States 2007 fall tour and ... supported Linkin Park in Japan in November/December 2007. While touring for Paper Walls, Peter Mosely announced in a MySpace blog message that he would be leaving Yellowcard to pursue other endeavors. The band has not yet made any long-term decisions, but Josh Portman from the band Near Miss is acting as stand-in bass player at present.
Yellowcard Tickets Yellowcard concert tickets are available for several live performances, and the band gains a wider audience with each passing show. Their style is quite unique, and some have called it "rock and roll," others have labeled it "punk" while still others refer to it as "pop punk." The reason for the confusion seems to stem from the band's incorporation of a violin into their work. Regardless of how you label them, Yellowcard tickets are a chance to see a true performance band hit the stage and exhilarate crowds.

After self-releasing a series of albums, Jacksonville, Fla.'s, Yellowcard signed with Lobster Records to release its debut in 2001. Though the band builds on pop-punk textures and arrangements, its incorporation of a full-time violinist gives its songs a novel twist. Though songs range from loud, straightforward pop punk to acoustic pop, it's clear that Yellowcard draws its inspiration from the punk underground.
