Yamaha Motorcycles has issued a recall for between 29,000 and 53,000 motorcycles. The recall is for defective transmission parts that could cause abnormal wear that could eventually result in a lock up, which would ... cause the rear wheel to lock up. This could result in loss of control and a crash, possibly resulting in serious injury or death. If you have experienced these or similar problems, please fill out the form below.

Yamaha has recently claimed a 100% four-stroke snowmobile line-up, making them the only snowmobile manufacturer to do so. In Canada though, there are still three models that Yamaha manufactures that are still 2 stroke. They are the Bravo, VK 540 and the Venture XL. Yamaha had introduced four-strokes to their line-up in 2003 and the line-up became four-stroke based for model year 2005. Many say that Yamaha has proven snowmobiles can be clean, efficient, and reliable all while maintaining strong performance. The RX-1 released in 2003 was the first performance-oriented four-stroke snowmobile to ever hit the market. It was not... the first modern four-stroke snowmobile produced.

It was beautiful: with this model Yamaha was the first manufacturer to put special attention to the decoration of the motorcycle. This task was given to GK Design in Tokyo. It's worth mentioning that this firm has designed the "look" of most Yamaha motorcycles to date.

The smallest Yamaha playbike uses a mild, 2-stroke engine with a simple, single-speed automatic transmission. The 49cc engine is mildly tuned to deliver predictable power that gently eases the new rider up the off-road learning curve. It’s equipped with exclusive Autolube oil injection that eliminates the need to premix fuel and oil. A single-speed automatic transmission means rider simply twists the throttle and goes, allowing him/her to concentrate on the ride ahead.
