The parent company of the Yakima Bears is Short Season LLC, a Yakima-domiciled limited liability company. The managing partners and majority owners are Mike and Laura McMurray of Selah. The Yakima Bears are a minor league baseball team in Yakima, Washington. They are a Class A team in the Northwest League and have been a farm team of the Arizona Diamondbacks since 2001, formerly with the Los Angeles Dodgers from the team's creation in 1990 when the Salem Dodgers were moved to Yakima. The Bears play home games at Yakima County Stadium.

EVERETT, Wash. – Everett second-baseman Luis Valbuena led the charge against the Yakima Bears for the second day in a row, as the Frogs defeated the Bears 6-5 before 4,291 sun-drenched fans. Valbuena went 3-for-4 with four RBI including a two-run homerun in the second inning. Valbuena’s homer was followed by a solo shot by Everett right fielder Mike Saunders (1-for-3). Valbuena is 6-for-7 with nine RBI in the last two games.

Constructed in 1993, Yakima County Stadium is home to the Yakima Bears, a minor league professional team affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The facility is ... used for high school regional and state tournaments as well as other special events. Yakima County Stadium is located at State Fair Park (formerly known as the Central Washington Fairgrounds). The Yakima Bears (509-457-5151) control the facility from May to mid-September each year. The remainder of the year State Fair Park (509-248-7160) operates the facility. The facility can be rented for events.
