Belgian star Xavier Malisse took time out from his Stella Artois campaign to answer your questions from The Queen's Club. Malisse, a semifinalist at Wimbledon last year, finished 2002 at No. 25 in the world.
Xavier Malisse spent a major part of the week in the shadows of the Spaniards, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Moya. But in the end, he came out blazing, writes Nandita Sridhar.

A day after Spadea served phenomenally against Haas, Malisse made him look pedestrian, winning 52 percent of the points on Spadea’s first serve (16 for 31). Spadea’s percentage on Malisse’s first serve was half of that at 26 percent (7 for 27). Malisse cut into that total with a 107 mile-per-hour slice ace out wide to clinch the 199th win of his career.

It was something Malisse didn't fully realize until last year. "I started enjoying myself a lot more, and really worked hard in practice," says Malisse. "I surrounded myself with some really good people who helped me a lot, they really motivated me."
"The court is almost perfect speed for me," said Malisse, ranked No. 31. "I feel like I can get to every ball if I'm in good shape. It's not too fast. Once you feel comfortable on a court it's just the way it goes sometimes."

Garcia-Lopez rocked a forehand cross court but Malisse retrieved it with a squash forehand. Garcia-Lopez's next forehand went down-the-line, but the X-Man stretched wide for a backhand slice. The Spaniard’s third forehand in succession went cross court. Seemingly running the baseline on a string, Malisse threw up a lob that landed near the baseline. Garcia-Lopez’s netted an overhead to hand Malisse the first set.
