Unfortunately for Magneto, one of the Sentinels contained a nuclear warhead, which destroyed the White House, Magneto, and all of the mutants under his command.

    Following the events of the House of M - in which the vast majority of mutants were suddenly de-powered) - the X-Mansion became home to a refugee camp housing a bedraggled and sometimes volatile group of the world's remaining powered mutants. The United States government surrounded the perimeter of the mansion with manned Sentinels reporting to the newly-created O*N*E, ostensibly to protect the mutant camp as a national security asset. The X-Men ... found themselves in the position of having to act as intermediaries between the government and the mutants and relations between the three groups fluctuated widely from cautious friendship to outright antagonism.
  4. The Men -- X-Men
    Notable additions to the X-Men have been Emma Frost, Sage, Chamber, Northstar, Husk, Warpath, Caliban, Hepzibah, X-23 and Omega Sentinel. This decade ... included former villains becoming X-Men such as Juggernaut, Mystique, Sabretooth and Lady Mastermind. Several short-lived spin-offs and mini-series started featuring several X-Men in solo series, such as Mystique, Emma Frost, Gambit, Rogue, Nightcrawler. Another book, Exiles, started at the same time but continues to this day. Cable and Deadpool's books were also rolled into one book, called Cable and Deadpool. A third core X-Men title was also introduced called Astonishing X-Men, written by Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon, following Morrison's departure.

According to LeBeau (in XSE #4), Bishop's grandmother (a woman probably named Aliyah) took Bishop away from him. Bishop was then raised by his grandmother with his younger sister, Shard in a mutant concentration camp in Nevada or Brooklyn (perhaps both). This was in the aftermath of the Summers Rebellion, an uprising in which mutants and humans joined forces to destroy the Sentinels.
  8. Wolverine -- X-Men
    Wolverine is one of the only few mutants left along with Storm, Colossus, and Kitty Pryde. In this alternate reality, the X-Men had failed to stop the assassination of Senator Robert Kelly. In retaliation, the Sentinels would soon help enforce the United States of America against Mutants in general. During one of the confrontations against the Sentinels, Wolverine jumps towards a Sentinel ready to kill it when a Sentinel ends up killing Wolverine with its laser. It burns off all of Wolverine’s flesh and he falls to the ground, with only his adamantium left on the ground.
  9. Beast -- X-Men
    Despite his ongoing battle with the demons of loneliness and rejection, he is an inveterate prankster and wit, and besides his brutish exterior, Beast is the most literate and eloquent of the X-Men, possessing a million-dollar vocabulary. Henry is every bit a human being plagued by duality: man/beast; genius/sports star; gentle giant/feral aggressor.
  10. The X Men -- Professor Xavier
    The X-Men made a few appearances in Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro. Professor X (Daran Norris) and Rogue (Jennifer Hale) run a Danger Room simulation for the player to train in. Beast (Dee Bradley Baker) appears in the first level to demonstrate the controller functions to the player.
