WrestleMania 21 was the twenty-first annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It took place on April 3, 2005 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.[2] The event was the first WrestleMania at the Staples Center, but the fifth to take place in the Southern California metropolitan area (following WrestleMania 2, WrestleMania VII, WrestleMania XII and WrestleMania 2000). Tickets sold out in less than one minute for the event, making it the fastest ticket sell-out in the company's history as well as the fastest ticket sell-out at the Staples Center. The event drew a Staples Center record attendance of 20,193 people from 14 countries and 48 states and grossed more than $2.1 million in ticket sales, making it the highest grossing WWE event ever at the Staples Center, and the highest grossing of the five WrestleManias held in California. In addition to those in attendance, WrestleMania 21 was seen by millions of fans in more than 90 countries.

That's about as good as Wrestlemania 21 gets, though, since it all goes downhill from there. To start with, the opponent AI isn't very good at all. At the default difficulty setting, they don't pose much of a challenge. They become more competent at the higher difficulty levels, but they still suffer from some bizarre quirks. This is most notable when foreign objects are brought into the mix, like in Ladder matches. The AI is just as likely to knock over the ladder if their partner is going up for the belt as it is for their opponents.

Coming into WrestleMania 21, Randy Orton had staked a reputation in WWE as a legend killer. The list of legends he had defeated was long and accomplished, but it was still missing one name: Undertaker. In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Undertaker tried to intimidate the cocky young Superstar, but Orton insisted he wasn’t scared. Was Orton able to kill another legend, and in the process end Undertaker’s WrestleMania undefeated streak? Or, did the Undertaker make Randy Orton Rest in Peace?

To be honest, Wrestlemania 21 probably plays the best out of the recent wrestling titles. That is, if you can get past the framerate problems. There are plenty of moves to choose from, but you only get to perform a small amount of them with one character. Moves are set ONLY to the 4 different directions, not taking use of combos or diagonal directions. While you have a possibility of possibly 40 moves, you only get 16. You will find yourself using the same moves over and over again for the most part.
