CORVALLIS - Jason Lovell won the day's final match to preserve Oregon State's 22-16 win over California-Davis in Pacific-10 wrestling Saturday afternoon at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers (7-5 overall, 5-1 Pacific-10) needed a win from Lovell to take the dual meet after OSU 184-pounder Dan Pitsch had to injury default his match, suddenly giving the Aggies (3-4, 0-3) a chance for the victory.

Beaver 149-pounder Tony Hook's upset of nationally-ranked Tony Overstake sparked the win, which came on the day that OSU honored legendary former coach Dale Thomas in a halftime ceremony.
