Harrelson plays an NBA washout in Semi-Pro Harrelson's involvement with the project (in which he wears a hairstyle earily similar to that of his No Country counterpart Javier Bardem) sprang purely from his admiration for its star. Woody Harrelson - Bodog Beat After attempting to break out of an Atlanta federal prison in 1995, Harrelson was transferred to Supermax, the highest-security federal prison. In March 2004, Harrelson lost his Supreme Court appeal which argued he was not adequately represented at trial by his defense attorney. Harrelson had always denied the killing, claiming to have been 270 miles away when Wood was murdered. He claimed that his lawyer failed to collect vital evidence that proved he was not responsible for the murder.
