Lucy Lawless, Victoria Hill and Jessica Biel have all been bandied about (and discarded) as possible heirs to the Lasso of Truth. well, nothing, really... far.

In 1964, an evil counterpart of Wonder Woman from a parallel universe named "Superwoman" was introduced. This Superwoman was a member of the Crime Syndicate of America, a villainous counterpart of the Justice League of America from the parallel world of "Earth-Three" (vs. the Justice League's world of "Earth-One"). Superwoman, like Wonder Woman, was an Amazon, and possessed similar powers of super-strength and flight, had the use of a magic lasso, only hers could change shape into any form she desired.
Overview: Wonder Woman is considered to be one of the most powerful women alive today. She has few equals among women (or men for that matter), Maxima, former member of the Justice League and Big Barda a current member and, wife of Mister Miracle being two of her peers. Wonder Woman possesses super-human strength and is capable of flight. Trained in all ancient Greek methods of hand-to-hand combat, she ... has the speed of Hermes, which lets her deflect bullets with her silver bracelets. The Lasso of Truth, forged from the girdle of Gaia, forces anyone in its hold to tell the absolute truth. Wonder Woman serves as a member of the newly formed Justice League of America.
Wonder Woman's bitterness would resurface when Shayera returned to the League. Even though the Flash had attempted to patch things up between them. The same day, Hermes, messenger of the gods, came with a message that she had to return to Themyscira. Felix Faust had been saved by his pupil, Tala, and took control of the Annihilator. He traveled to Themyscira and broke into Tartarus where he had usurped Hades from his throne. This caused an unbalance in magic and Diana had to restore it. Diana knew she could solve this threat with ordinary weapons.
Mount Olympus Wonder Woman's Greco-Roman religious beliefs are still evident in later episodes, even when she is not the focus. An example is an incidental reference in Justice League Season 1, Episode 6 ("The Enemy Below - Part One") - an invocation of the goddess Hera in a story focusing on Aquaman. When Wonder Woman learns that Aquaman is missing and in danger, she exclaims, "Hera help him."

Queen Hippolyta found herself stricken with a vision of the future where she foresaw the death of Wonder Woman. In desperation she declared that Diana had failed and that a new contest should be held. The Amazon Artemis from the tribe of Antiope joined the contest. Hippolyta had a spell cast that when Artemis and Diana were present together, part of Diana's skill and power went into Artemis. Via this manipulation Diana lost the mantel of Wonder Woman, but she continued acting in man's world under her own name and as the leader of the Justice League.
