Representatives of WIDM participated ... in writing of the National Report 97 for UN Organization "Belarusian Women Through an Era" (1997). WIDM took an active part in election campaigns, supporting women-candidates, and in all democratic actions in support of legality and independence of Belarus. WIDM initiated its own civil actions in support of convicted former Chief of National Bank Tamara Vinnikova and against building of a new atomic station in Belarus.
