Guests are invited to kick-off Father's Day Weekend on Thursday, June 17th, in Roy's at Pebble Beach where dinner will feature the wines of Scheid Vineyards. The festivities continue on Friday, June 18th, where golf enthusiasts are expected to experience fore like never before on The Links at Spanish Bay of Pebble Beach Resorts. Wine tasting, prizes, and a wine reception hosted by local winemakers will be included in the day. Guests can then enjoy dinner on Friday evening, where Ventana Vineyards / Meador Estate will collaborate with The Lodge at Pebble Beach to provide an exquisite six course winemaker dinner in the picturesque private dining area of Stillwater Bar & Grill.

According to Ridge, the Joullian goal was to make Bordeaux style wines. That meant looking for Cabernet country. Napa was out because of economics and Sonoma didn't yet have a track record for Cabernet. Monterey and Durney Vineyards had developed a reputation for Cab from Monterey County that encouraged Ridge. It was no accident then, that the final site selected for Joullian Vineyards bordered Durney's famous Cabernet Vineyard at the 1,400 foot elevation.

Drawn by the only opportunity to purchase limited production wines from Oregon's top producers, guests from across the country contributed $172,395 for 168 cases at the tasting and big board auction. A further $603,000 generated at the exciting live and silent auction at Portland's historic Governor Hotel was capped by an electrifying paddle raise appeal spurred by a $30,000 combined pledge from 100 independent vineyard owners in the Willamette Valley AVAs.
