While it might be an overstatement to say that Italy is one vast vineyard, there can be no argument that wine is grown all over Italy. The best known regions are Tuscany and Piedmont. Tuscany is home to the “Super Tuscans,” made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and home ... to Brunello di Montalcino, which is made from Sangiovese Grosso. Piedmont is home to Barolo, Barbaresco, Gattinara, Dolcetto and Barbera. The Nebbiolo grape rules supreme here.
Jay Miller rated this wine 90 points but no tasting notes were provided. Notes from the winery: "Produced with grapes of Torrontes, grown in our own vineyards in southern Rivadavia, Mendoza, Argentina. Yellow colored wine with nitid golden notes. Noticeable tropical fruits, with reminiscences of peach and citric notes--a vivid varietal. To the mouth it is fresh and soft. The House, founded in 1915, guarantees the nobility of this genuine product."

Hotels are able to fill their rooms and restaurants fill their tables during historically slower seasons. It's a ripple effect."

Add the economic impact of wine-related tourism and recreational enterprises such as tasting room visits, wine festivals, wine trains and educational programs, and the total economic contribution of the Colorado wine industry is $41.7 million.
