WASHINGTON, July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert David Steele, Chief Evangelist for Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), has created an approved OSINT page at Wikipedia, as well as sub-set pages listed below. This press release invites all those who have any interest or capability in OSINT or the fields listed below, to create their own organizational Wiki page if it does not already exist, and to create one-line links to their organizational Wiki page from any of the sub-pages.

Image description pages must be tagged with a special tag to indicate the legal status of the images, as described at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Untagged or incorrectly-tagged images will be deleted. It is currently unclear what should happen in cases where the same image has been uploaded more than once with different respective copyright statements.

If your website is directly under Wikipedia and you want to beat them you can make changes to the Wikipedia page to give yourself a small advantage. This won’t work if they are beating you by a long shot. Just go in and edit the page so that the keyword is not mentioned as many times. Try to make sure the article still reads well. If you remove all of them or make the article read bad somebody will just come in and fix it.

It took Wikipedia 22.5 hours to detect and correct this prank. Meanwhile, an unknown number of surfers downloaded and saved the page. It ranks number one in MSN, Google, and Yahoo for a search on the prime minister's name.

Although multiple user accounts are allowed on Wikipedia in general, only one account of a given person should have administrative tools. The sole exceptions are by agreement of Arbcom or the community.

You just can't put something with commercial motive into Wikipedia. Admitting it is hardly better; it is still a crime. The Wikipedians and bloggers will attack hard and they will deserve what they get.
