Their debut American album was ... released in 2000, and although they have not released another one there since, that has not stopped thousands of Americans from becoming Westlife fans. And beyond Europe and the USA, Westlife's fan base is truly global, including Canada, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

The loss of a member in a group means the beginning of end of for the bands but not with Westlife. In less than a month after Brian left, the group went on their tour and released Allow Us to Be Frank later that year which was a collection of Rat-Pack hits. The album was recorded in Las Vegas and the videos of the singles were ... shot in Las Vegas, making it a more convincing Rat-Pack cover album.

A familiar blend of big ballads and mid-tempo tunes, balanced by the occasional up-tempo song, ‘Face To Face’ presents Westlife playing to their strengths – passionate vocals and memorable tunes. It’s a straightforward formula that’s been winning hearts and ears since the dawn of popular music, from the doo-wop days of the Platters, through the timeless harmonies of the Drifters and Coasters, to the slick modern sounds of Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC, Take That and Boyzone. But no one’s done it with so much success as Westlife – 34 million album sales are testament to that!

It has been confirmed by the ladsthat the next Westlife album will becovers album of Love Songs. I really wantWestlife to know that the fans want thisto be the last coversalbumfrom the lads. They really are too good to be singing other peoples songs and the AUTBF album sorta bombed proving it wasn't a good idea. If they choose a couple quality covers and the rest of the album original material I think everyone would be happy, Fans, impulse buyers, and all.
