When they couldn't see the werewolves, they whispered to each other, "Psst, I want to go home." They went out the door, but the werewolves accidentally shrunk outside. They accidentally bumped into the werewolves The werewolves were closing in to them again. And you never saw the men again. But, if you go to the house at morning, you can see the blood of the men. The werewolves did the same things if people came into their house.

Actually, the accomplishments of the German werewolves are grossly exaggerated and conflicted. Most of them were maurauding Waffen SS/Gestapo who obviously had an incentive not to give up to the Allies. They lived in the woods and once and a while would go into villages to get supplies...often at gunpoint if needed, if the local people were not interested in helping them out.

One still believes in werewolves in the Altmark. Even today in the village of Hindenburg they tell about a man who could turn himself into a wolf, and there are people still alive who knew him during their childhood.
