Wembley Arena is a world famous live entertainment venue, located in Wembley, London, England. The building is opposite Wembley Stadium. It was built for the 1934 Empire Games and originally housed a swimming pool, as reflected by its former name, the Empire Pool. The pool itself was last used for the 1948 Summer Olympics.

Wembley Arena Fountain 31.03.06 Originally known as the Empire Pool, Wembley Arena was built for the Empire Games of 1934 and is now a Grade II listed building. Quintain Estates & Development plc, the owner of the building received Listed Building Consent (04/0426) and planning consent (04/0427) for the refurbishment and re-orientation of Wembley Arena and the construction of new service yard area as part of its overall plans to regenerate the area immediately surrounding the new National Stadium. The proposal involved the internal reorientation of the building, presenting its main entrance at its east end opening onto a large new public space to be known as Arena Square. The concert venue opened its doors for the first time on 31 March 2006 to welcome Brent’s multi-cultural community. Wembley Arena opened officially on Sunday 1 April. Now the capacities for the Arena vary between 11,800 and 12,200 people.
