Weight Watchers is a commercial diet and weight-loss program that is based on low-calorie diet, exercise and behavior modification. It includes group counseling sessions and the food is optional. Weight Watchers cuisine can be purchased independently at most major grocery chains. There is a one-time registration fee of $16-$20 dollars and a weekly fee of $10-$14 dollars. Lifetime members don't pay a fee.
Weight Watchers recommends to have at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables each day. It is advised to include 2-3 serves of dairy and 1-2 serves of protein rich foods. Wholegrain foods and healthy mono or polyunsaturated fats over saturated fats are recommended and added sugars should be limited.
