The members of Weezer took their places on the stage, with bassist Matt Sharp making a fashion statement by wearing a pair of blue sweatpants, and began the concert with "My Name Is Jonas." The sheer power of their performance washed over the crowd, parts of which reacted instantly by starting a pit in front of the stage. Other parts of the crowd grooved along with the music, screamed the lyrics, or danced in place.

There are so many tracks on 'Maladroit' that should be squeezed into your list of favourite Weezer songs. A rotation system would probably make things a lot easier. Try the 'Hash Pipe' of this album 'Dope Nose' and the bouncing 'Keep Fishin' for starters. Then move on to teary 'Slob', the jiggy 'Burndt Jamb' and hug-your-partner feel of 'Slave'. They're all contenders.

The Blue Album is currently certified triple platinum in the United States,[2] making it Weezer's all-time best seller. It is ranked 297 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums.[11] It was re-released and repackaged in 2004 as a Deluxe Edition, which included a second disc of b-sides along with other previously unreleased rarities.[12]
