While others have been coy about adding video, Webshots says it will integrate short video sharing soon — but not until the fall. Webshots has 19 million unique visitors per month, with 420 million photos shared to date and 1 million new photos per day.

Webshots came out of an acquisition that CNET did in August 2004. The site has been around since 1997 and began offering photo sharing in 1999, but CNET has been building it up in recent years as the photo-sharing trend has taken off.

CNet’s photosharing service Webshots is adding video sharing capabilities today, something that has been expected since at least August when the service underwent a drastic redesign.
