Sabre Web Services is currently available to Sabre Connected agencies in North America and Latin America. The offering is available for a license fee and fees on a pay-per-use basis. It will be rolled out to EMEA customers in Quarter 1, 2004. Additional Web services offerings will be introduced through other Sabre Holdings companies over the next few months.

The Web services specification, first introduced in April 2003, is already in use at many organizations across the globe. The first interoperability compliance testing on the specification was completed in October 2004, at which time several companies illustrated support and compliance, including Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Novell, NTT, Sun Microsystems and Trustgenix.

Because of this flexibility, several companies could produce competing spell checking Web services, and you could sign up for any one of them for your program to use. As long as they all support the same interface, the program can use any of them interchangeably. Perhaps different services might check different languages!
