The Weather Underground's latest entry into the wireless industry introduces enhanced content, including international conditions, and improved "Favorites" technologies. A few mouse clicks within a standard Web browser allows visitors to create a personalized weather information page which lists current weather conditions in chosen U.S. and international locations. This "Favorites" list is compatible with both standard WWW browsers, and AT&T PocketNet phones.
Weather Underground users can now access daily weather conditions dating back six years in most cities around the world. Historical weather information such as maximum and minimum temperatures, precipitation, humidity and winds are available for use by researchers, travelers, event planners and weather buffs free of charge. The databank was recently expanded to include hourly weather figures beginning with the 1999 archives in most markets.
