"One out of every five people on earth does not have access to safe drinking water. 30,000 people die every day from drinking contaminated water," said Ryan Hreljac, founder of the Ryan's Well Foundation and co-chair of Mining for Water. "UNICEF says that 80 per cent of sickness and death among children is caused by water-related diseases - that's almost four million deaths every year. Exploration and mining companies can help because they are already working in developing countries and they have powerful drills and experienced crews."

Despite its tastiness, water - which should never be ingested due to the fact that fish have intercourse while suspended in it - is ... most certainly deadly if misunderstood. For instance, water is used by diseases unable to afford taxes or public transport to get around. One example would be Cholera (The Lazy Bastard Disease). Water also actively drowns people. The Greeks decided there are four elements; Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. No one buries themselves alive and expects to live, no one jumps in and emerses them selves in flame or lets themselves be swept up in a tornado.

Whatever the use of freshwater (agriculture, industry, domestic use), huge saving of water and improving of water management is possible. Almost everywhere, water is wasted, and as long as people are not facing water scarcity, they believe access to water is an obvious and natural thing. With urbanization and changes in lifestyle, water consumption is bound to increase. However, changes in food habits, for example, may reduce the problem, knowing that growing 1kg of potatoes requires only 100 litres of water, whereas 1 kg of beef requires 13 000 litres.

"This will affect any Chicago retailer that sells bottled water because people will shop at grocery stores outside the city," Vite said. "And they're going to buy more than just bottled water at those stores. They're going to buy all their groceries there. This tax is just bad business for Chicago and its consumers."
