Warts: Planter Warts
built 621 days ago
Since planter warts can spread quickly, you should seek treatment early, rather than wait. It's easy to confuse a planter wart with a callus. One of the first ways to tell the difference between a callus and a planter wart is DOES IT HURT? If it hurts when you press on it, it may be a planter wart. Second, does it have little black spots in the center? If so, it's likely to be a planter wart.

Plantar warts are usually found on the soles (plantar area) of the feet and look like hard, thick patches of skin with dark specks. Most Plantar warts do not stick up above the skins surface because the pressure of walking flattens them and pushes them back into the skin. Planter warts have a bad reputation as they can be very painful.

Certain over-the-counter remedies that kill the wart virus are effective to treat most warts. However, if you suffer from a planter wart it may become painful to walk or stand on for long periods of time. In cases like this, having your wart removed by a doctor is an option.
