1. Warren Beatty -- Annette Bening
   Warren Beatty and Annette Bening have a lot to celebrate these days. On March 26, 2000, less than a week before his 63rd birthday, Beatty received the prestigious Irving Thalberg Award at the Academy Awards. That same night, his wife Annette Bening was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her critically acclaimed work in American Beauty. Many wondered if Bening, who was nine months pregnant, would go into labor that evening! She did not, but she did give birth to their fourth child and third daughter, Ella Corrine, on April 8, 2000.
2. Warren Buffett -- Bill Gates
   Thanks to Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and the School Bridge League, kids nationwide can now benefit from the game. "Bridge is a game where you can keep improving and feel great about it without ever hitting the limit of what can be done," says Gates. The key was letting kids know.
3. Flds -- Warren Jeffs
   Since their new pioneers first landed in Eldorado, the lives of the FLDS faithful have come under increasing official scrutiny, there and elsewhere. Among those applying the pressure is Gary Engels, an investigator with the Mohave Co., Ariz., attorney's office. Although the FLDS has been in Short Creek for "years and years," Engels said, there has never been a coordinated effort to determine the truth of the "information [that has] come out about the place – the [allegations] of underage marriage, abuses, everything," he said. That's the way it was, at least, until nine months ago, when Mohave Co. attorney Matthew Smith tapped Engels to head up a new outpost office in Colorado City. Since then, Engels, a retired police officer, has been working out of a small, metal trailer on the outskirts of Colorado City, sharing an office with a Mohave Co. victims services advocate and, occasionally, with a visiting Child Protective Services caseworker. The work has been "extremely challenging," he says, because the FLDS community is so distrustful of outsiders – "even those who [have been] kicked out [by Jeffs] don't trust outsiders," he said – and has made it clear that he is not welcome in Short Creek.
4. Warren Buffett -- Companies
   [I]n a SEC filing, Berkshire Hathaway, the Warren Buffett controlled company, revealed a 30 million share stake in Ameriprise (AMP), the financial services arm of American Express (AXP). It ... appears the company increased its stake in Home Depot (HD) and Tyco International (TYC) while decreasing its stake in troubled retailer Pier One (PIR) and Shaw Communications, the Canadian communications company.
5. Warren G. Harding -- Republican Party
   Warren Harding was a handsome, amiable man who looked like a President but hardly acted like one. He won election by a landslide but did nothing with his mandate. A conservative Republican, he favored a return to “normalcy” after Woodrow Wilson's New Freedom program of business regulation. Scandals rocked Harding's Presidency and contributed to his untimely death in office.
6. Paul Walker -- Director
   Paul Walker was appointed chief executive officer of the company in 1994. He had joined Sage a decade earlier and took the post of finance director in 1987, overseeing the flotation two years later. Goldman became company chairman.
7. Nutritional Supplements -- Companies
   Millennium Nutritionals LLC has been providing specialty nutritional supplements since 1999. Originally owned and operated by Hopewell Pharmacy & Compounding Center in NJ, Millennium is now operating as a seperate company in Warren, NJ.
8. Temple Mount -- Centuries
   The Temple Mount platform, built to support the Temple and its courts, has been preserved down through the centuries. While this has limited the area for the search for the original site, it is impossi­ble to resolve the matter due to the lack of complete access to the site.    The term Statistical Semantics was first used by Warren Weaver (1955) in his well-known paper on machine translation. He argued that word sense disambiguation for machine translation should be based on the co-occurrence frequency of the context words near a given target word. The underlying assumption that "a word is characterized by the company it keeps" was advocated by J.R. Firth (1957). This assumption is known in Linguistics as the Distributional Hypothesis. Delavenay (1960) defined Statistical Semantics as "Statistical study of meanings of words and their frequency and order of recurrence."
