Hip Hop Galaxy Warren Griffin III (born November 10, 1970), more commonly known as Warren G, is an African-American West Coast rapper and hip hop producer. His biggest hit is the single "Regulate" with Nate Dogg released 1994. The single is a G-funk track like most of Warren G’s productions.
October 21, 1921 - President Warren G. Harding delivers the first speech by a sitting President against lynching in the deep south. He condemns lynchings—illegal hangings committed primarily by white supremacists against African Americans in the Deep South. Harding was a progressive Republican politician who advocated full civil rights for African Americans and suffrage for women. He supported the Dyer Anti-lynching Bill in 1920. As a presidential candidate that year, he gained support for his views on women’s suffrage, but faced intense opposition on civil rights for blacks. The 1920s was a period of intense racism in the American South, characterized by frequent lynchings.

Warren G In 1991, Warren G formed the group 213 with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg. Warren G introduced the group to his step-brother Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre was impressed and tied Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg to his and Suge Knight’s record company, Death Row Records. Thus, 213 broke up before releasing any records, and the three artists pursued separate careers. Even though Death Row Records did not sign Warren G, his career began with some contributions to Dr. Dre’s album The Chronic, released 1992.
In 1980 Warren moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where he continued his studies with Tony Bradan and later attended Vancouver College. While attending Vancouver college Warren studied guitar with Bruce Clausen and played in a big band under David Branter. Jazz pianist Elmer Gill who had played with Lionel Hampton and Eddie Lockjaw Davis was on the faculty and oversaw the Jazz Combo Workshops. During this period Warren was influenced by Joe Pass and was able to attend one of his workshops.
