Warm Springs: Pool
built 659 days ago
The Warm Springs intersection seen from the hot spring. In the foreground US-6 between Ely (left) and Tonopah (right). The E.T. Highway (Hwy 375) leads to Rachel, past the mountain range in the background. The abandoned Warm Springs Bar and Cafe is right across the street from the intersection, and the pool is next to the smaller brown building on the right.
Not sure if you could actually classify Warm Springs as a ghost town but it is an abandoned site. The natural hot springs here were utilized for travelers going back and forth between Tybo and Reveille back in the heydays. As the years progressed a swimming pool was put in and small bath houses. The pool is still here but shut down and the bath houses have been bulldozed.
Next to the pool is the Warm Springs Bar and Cafe, an abandoned roadside restaurant from the 1970's. Both the pool and the restaurant belong to the Fallini family, who operates a ranch nearby at Twin Springs.
