Warhammer is a miniatures wargame, where players command vast armies of model soldiers in the struggle to outmaneuver and outfight one another on a tabletop battlefield. This gaming action is set amid a fantasy world like no other, where sorcery and monsters are common on the field of battle. The aim of every person who plays Warhammer is to pit their force of miniatures against other players across fantastic battlefields. Win or lose, all fantasy battles are entertaining challenges in which you try to out-think and out-play your opponent, taking advantage of what good luck comes your way, but ultimately relying upon sound tactics to win the day.

Warhammer 40k is a sci-fi tabletop war game based in the year 40,000, created by Games Workshop ... the makers of Warhammer Fantasy. The game is a hobby enjoyed by many and includes modeling and painting a full army. This allows a sort of creative freedom, letting you create your own part of a certain race. Letting you create a story for them, a color scheme and even give them names! Warhammer 40k is mainly a strategy game, you use your army and brilliant tactics to bring your foe down. The Leviathon 2008 Warhammer Fantasy player pack has been released to the general public. In a fantastic innovation, tournament organiser Marc Hurwitz has added some spice to the event with the first day consisting of 3 rounds using armies of 2250 pts each whilst the second day is 2 rounds using armies of 2500 pts each.
