When Thomas joined the Disney studios in 1934, he began learning these principles and worked under the guidance of by-then veteran animator Fred Moore. During the 1930s and early '40s, Thomas first worked on animated shorts like “Mickey's Elephant,” but gained prominence as one of eight artists working on animation of the dwarfs in Snow White, most notably the scene in which the dwarfs mourn the loss of Snow White while she lays upon her bier.

There will be a steering committee that will oversee animation for both Disney and Pixar studios, with a mission to maintain and spread the Pixar culture. This committee will consist of Catmull, Lasseter, Jobs, Iger, Cook and Tom Staggs. They will meet at Pixar headquarters at least once every two months.

Stainton, who was in Orlando on Friday morning to announce to the crew that production of A Few Good Ghosts was being shut down, sent an e-mail to the troops at Disney Studios in California explaining the decision. The world-renowned Harlem Gospel Choir will appear at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the first time in the 2007 holiday season. Three performances (at 5:00, 6:00 and 7:30 pm) will be offered at Theater of the Stars (Beauty and the Beast show location) on Sunset Blvd each night between November 30 and December 25.
