Every significant piece of Disney biography states that Walt was born in an upstairs bedroom of his parents' house in Chicago. If Walt had publicly stated, to a news reporter as prominent as Edward R. Murrow, that he was actually born somewhere else, how is it that fact has somehow eluded every Disney biographer to the point that none of them so much as mention it? And if Walt both knew and publicly proclaimed that he was really born in Robinson, why did he nonetheless maintain in his autobiography (published under his daughter's name) that he was indeed born in Chicago?

Disney Channel has identified two clear demographics that comprise the bulk of its viewership and has made efforts to hook both. Before full-day students get out of school, the network employs a reliable programming block for preschoolers known as Playhouse Disney, with a blend of in-house and acquired series spanning various mediums. But when the bell rings, whether homework is finished or not, the tween-oriented content is there awaiting absorption, a mix of animated and live action series, both new and "old" (in the sense that last decade can be classified as "old"). During afternoons and evenings, the Channel's primary target is the tween-to-teen viewer, aged roughly 8 to 15. When things go right, that narrow market can expand considerably, and it does so when the cable channel has a hit on their hands, like "Lizzie McGuire", "Kim Possible", or the tough-to-explain "That's So Raven."

Sexually, Walt was something of an omnivore. "Animal, Mineral or Vegetable" was his motto. As a young man he had been shy and awkward, due to a vestigial tail. Once he had the tail surgically removed, his libido blossomed. He is said to have contracted seventeen different venereal diseases, and to have invented six or seven new ones.

Rooms at Disney's Polynesian Resort will ... get a new look, but retain the "South Seas Islands" style that has been the Polynesian's hallmark since 1971. Dark, hand-carved wood furniture contrasts with tropical blues, greens and browns in bedspreads, paintings and wall coverings. Both resorts will receive upgraded furniture elements such as flat-screen televisions and designer bedding.

The Japanese Disney Lilo and Stitch page is up and running. There are a few twists/differences from the US version. It's interesting to hear it in Japanese... when you click on the movie previews - it's very different. (click on the Lilo and Stitch surfboard to see the movie previews) Also, Disney uses a new Faith Hill song - Baby You Belong in this preview. (the song premieres on January 29th)
