Busy Week at Disney's Animal Kingdom - Things have been unusually busy as Disney's Animal Kingdom over the past week. In addition to the birth of the elephant calf, the animal care team has ... welcomed the birth of a healthy baby hippo, a siamang ape, which was born via caesarian section and two wildebeest calves.

Disney does not offer an Easter parade or decorations in the parks. There is usually a "meet and greet" with the Easter Bunny at Magic Kingdom during Easter Week (for 2008, this will probably be offered about March 16-23).

In the near future, Guests will be able to see the calf's progress on camera monitors at Rafiki's Planet Watch at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It will be several weeks before the calf and her mother will join other elephants on the savanna.
