At the age of 79, veteran Disney artist Sam McKim passed away on Friday, July 9, 2004 from heart failure at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. He leaves behind a legacy of artistic contributions that influenced the design of Disneyland.

The state-of-the-art Jostens Center is set to debut in summer 2008 at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. The multi-sports field house will play host to events such as basketball, volleyball, wrestling and martial arts, allowing Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex to double the number of indoor events that can be held at the facility.
