This past year Haberfield & Walker Racing ran David Rangel and Marco Santos in Formula BMW USA.

A key feature of Walker Racing's marketing program is their Show Car Program. Each sponsor is entitled to a minimum number of driver appearances with the show car at the location(s) of their choice throughout the year. The day is spent endorsing the sponsor and talking racing with passer-bys. While the team is currently targeting its program to the state of California, it plans to offer service to many of the western states in the near future.

Under the leadership of Derrick Walker, Walker Racing has a fantastic history as a Champ Car team, fielding great drivers such as Gil de Ferran, Alex Tagliani and Christian Fittipaldi. The team's first foray into the Atlantic Championship produced a title for Simon Pagenaud in 2006 with seven podiums and a win for the Frenchman.

After a dream debut season in Atlantics, Walker Racing returns with high hopes for 2007. The squad captured the Atlantic Championship in ’06 as rookie Simon Pagenaud produced nine top-five finishes in 12 starts. The team is hoping for that kind of consistency again this season with a brash young rookie and a speedy series sophomore leading its driving corps. British racer Ryan Lewis scored three podiums in nine starts in ’06 and he joins Walker Racing this season with his eye on defending the team’s title. He’ll be paired with highly-touted rookie Simona De Silvestro of Switzerland. The Swiss Miss is coming off a strong debut year in the Formula BMW USA series that saw her produce a win and six podium results while becoming the first woman to ever earn a podium finish at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

When rookie CART Series driver Shinji Nakano of Walker Racing was injured at The Milwaukee Mile, Gidley was one of the first people on team owner Derrick Walker’s list to call. Gidley replaced injured Walker Racing driver Naoki Hattori for four races and competed in six other races for Payton Coyne Racing in 1999, but hadn’t driven on ovals since the 1998 Toyota/Atlantic season. Much to Gidley’s dismay, Walker went with CART veteran Bryan Herta instead.
