The first curvy Volvo, designed by Peter Horbury and used the tagline “Revolvolution” in its advertising campaign, is the Volvo S60. It is an entry-level luxury car / compact executive car built by Volvo. The Volvo S60 was first introduced in 2000, superseding the Volvo S70. Volvo S60 is a sleek, 4-door, 5-seater sedan. Volvo made this kind of vehicle to answer those Volvo sedan enthusiasts that finds the Volvo S40 model to small but finds the Volvo S80 too big. It uses the Volvo P2 platform which is shared with the Volvo V70 and Volvo S80.

Volvo has updated its S60 sedan for the 2007 model year. Changes include new front and rear spoilers, updated bumpers and skirts, a new grille, an updated interior, watch-like instruments, a new turn signal system, indicators on the mirrors, new color options, and new wheel choices. Engineered to satisfy a range of tastes, the 2007 Volvo S60 luxury sports sedan is for the sports car enthusiast with a civilized side. Delivered in three models, the 2.5T, T5, and the R, the 2007 V60 sports one of three engine configurations: a 208 hp, a 257 hp. and a 300 hp powerplant. V60 2.5T offers a 2.5 liter 5-cylinder engine that produces 208 hp @ 5000 rpm and 236 lb-ft torque @ 4500 rpm. The S60 5T has a 2.4 liter 5-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 257 hp @5500 rpm and 258 lb-ft torque @5000 rpm. Finally, the 2007 S60 R comes with a 2.4 liter engine that produces 300 hp @5500 rpm and 295 lb-ft torque @5250 rpm.
