Volvo C70: T5
built 606 days ago
The current Volvo C70 debuted in 2006. It seats four and has a retractable hardtop. Available in only one trim level, T5, the C70 comes well-equipped with most modern convenience features. A few option packages allow one to add items such as leather seating, a navigation system and an upgraded audio system.

The Volvo C70 comes only in T5 trim, which means it features a peppy 2.5-liter turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine ... used on other Volvos. It’s a little less speedy here, however, given the added weight of the C70's complex top mechanism. A smooth-shifting six-speed manual transmission is standard and a five-speed automatic with Geartronic manual-shift capability is optional.

Although in other markets, the C70 will be offered with several different engines including a diesel, in the U.S. it will have VolvoĆ¢€™s 2.5-liter light-pressure turbo five-cylinder T5 engine. Power peaks 218 bhp at 5000 rpm, but for front-drive drivability the turbo five makes a high plateau of 236 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 to 4,800 rpm. Transmission choices are a standard six-speed manual or five-speed automatic.
