This quote by an unknown author certainly captures the situation at Volkswagen Canada's only manufacturing plant in North America. Volkswagen (VW) has been using activity-based costing (ABC) for the last five years, while persevering through management changes, company reorganizations, upsizing, downsizing, rightsizing, project leader changes, ABC software changes and, now, ownership changes. While the ABC system is presently stronger than ever, there are still more frontiers to push in the goal of fully ingraining ABM into the culture of the VW organization.
