Volcano cover art I'm a sucker for disaster films, and after seeing Volcano once or twice before (a few years ago), this rental was a welcome reminder of how much classic disaster blockbusters are missed. As expected, Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche play fantastic roles and there is a great 'race-against-the-clock'-style suspense attached to this film which will keep you on your seat throughout the movie! Absolutely worth renting!

The Volcano Rabbit lives in Mexico. The rabbit has been pushed into areas on the slopes of the Iztaccíhuatl, Pelado, Popocatepetl, and Tlaloc volcanoes. The Volcano Rabbit is generally found between elevations of 2800 m and 4250 m in pine forests with a dense undergrowth of bunch grass and rocky terrain called the transverse neovolcanic axis.
A painful but extraordinary portrait of writer Malcolm Lowry, author of "Under the Volcano," which explores his battle with alcohol and the guilt that followed the success of this novel. Produced by National Film Board of Canada.

Most of the action in Volcano is centered around the La Brea Tar Pits, at the intersection of Fairfax and La Brea. The area is known as simply "Fairfax," and it is a wealthier, Jewier section of the city. The excellent Farmer's Market (and the wretched Grove) are just a few blocks north as is the great Canter's Deli. So, the Volcano initially erupts out of the Tar Pits (duh) and begins destroying everything in sight. The Lava is flowing west towards Miracle Mile and Museum Row. Cops and firemen and emergency dudes are scrambling all over the place overturning buses and what not trying to stem the lava flow.
The Volcano Rabbit feeds on green leaves in zacaton grasses, the undeveloped leaves of spiny herbs and the bark of alder trees. During the rainy season, it will ... eat oats and corn from crops.
Volcano A furiously paced popcorn picture whose outrageous implausibility is somewhat amusing, Volcano delivers enough spectacular action to get it off to a hot B.O. start, although like the lava in the picture, it may not flow quite as far as anticipated.
