Included in the Vodafone Mobile Connect Card (VMCC) packaging is a CD, along with a user manual. The CD contains the Vodafone dashboard software that needs to be installed on your Windows-based laptop before you insert the VMCC into the PCM/CIA slot. Verizon and Vodafone have a coordinated trial plan for LTE that begins in 2008. Trial suppliers include Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia- Siemens, and Nortel. These suppliers, along with others in the world community, have contributed significantly towards development of the standards in 3GPP.

Vodafone announced that Shiro Tsuda, former senior executive vice president of NTT DoCoMo, will be appointed president of the company effective on December 1. "I hope to bring my strength in technology to Vodafone," said Tsuda. Following Darryl E. Green’s resignation from the post in June, Chief Executive of Vodafone’s Asia Pacific Region Brian Clark has served as president of Vodafone KK. According to Vodafone, Tsuda was asked to serve because he is highly familiar with the Japanese telecom industry.
