You can get any of the 8 online virtual pets to download for your desktop. These desktop virtual pets are very cool After a while without your attention, they will jump around and try to act cute so you will play with them again. You can throw the critter around the screen. Beware, the critter can bounce up and off the screen and it can go very high. It may take a while for it to come back down to the screen, but it always comes back to somewhere along the bottom of your screen.
Cybercritters' Rel 1 Adopt A Virtual Pet requires no registration, no installation. Just drop the executable file on your desktop. Then click on the icon to bring your virtual pet alive on your desktop.
