Vinyl (1965) is a black-and-white experimental film directed by Andy Warhol. It is an early adaptation of the novel A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, starring Gerard Malanga and Edie Sedgwick, and featuring such songs as "Nowhere to Run" by Martha and the Vandellas and "Tired of Waiting" by The Kinks. This is often credited as Sedgwick's first appearance in film, although she in fact appeared in an earlier Warhol film. Sedgwick has no lines in the entirety of Vinyl. Vinyl was filmed unrehearsed and was ... performed live in various stage productions.[1]
Vinyl is polyvinyl chloride and a type of plastic. Very durable and strong, over half of all the PVC manufactured worldwide is used in construction. It is cheap, produced easily and lightweight. Wood, clay and concrete have all in recent years begun to be replaced by PVC.
Customizable -- Vinyl-frame windows were first introduced in the 1970s to answer the need for custom window sizes not offered by manufacturers of stock wood windows. Today, a variety of units in stock and custom sizes are offered by nationwide companies such as Owens Corning and CertainTeed. Even traditional wood-window companies such as Retrovision from Weather Shield and Monument from Hurd offer vinyl-frame replacement lines.
Vinyl flooring is laid as either sheets or tiles. It may be a composition, a mixture of vinyl, mineral fibers and clay, or, for more durability, it may be solid vinyl. Vinyl sheet flooring, available in 6-, 9- or 12-foot-wide rolls, is generally used where a seamless look is wanted. Vinyl tiles are typically available in 12-inch squares. Some tiles are adhesive-backed for easier installation.

Vinyl News Service Vinyl is the most versatile plastic on the market today. Pure vinyl is more than half chlorine, which comes from common, plentiful salt. Chlorine is combined with ethylene, which is produced by “cracking” natural gas (distilling it with heat), to produce ethylene dichloride, which is then turned into vinyl chloride monomer, a gas. This gas is converted into a polymer - which is a chain of molecules - and the result is polyvinyl chloride resin, a fine white powder.
