After a night of dancing, Victoria Secret's model Alessandra Ambrosio skirted a couple of paparazzi on her way out of the party and got into the front seat of a four-door Maserati driven by a friend. The car stereo began to blast Aerosmith's "Dream On," and then, with a screech of the tires, the driver sped off into the approaching dawn.

Victoria's Secret was founded in 1977 by a shy Stanford University graduate student named Roy Raymond. After encountering numerous difficulties buying lingerie for his wife, Raymond theorized that many other men and women around the country were having similar trouble shopping for personalized lingerie items. On one extreme, he found garish nightwear. On the other extreme, he discovered really bland and uninteresting pieces.
