Venice: Venice Beach
built 627 days ago
Venice is a cozy, seaside town that has taken great strides to preserve its architectural heritage. Once you've shopped downtown for something new, discover older treasures in the antique district, walk along Venetian Waterway Park, or wet a line from one of the last full-length piers on Florida's west coast. Venice beaches are scoured by world travelers "stooping and scooping" with "Florida snow shovels" for shiny black fossilized teeth of prehistoric sharks. The best spot for specimens is Caspersen Beach, a naturalist's dream of an unspoiled, windswept beach where a nature trail leads through saltwater marshes and tidal flats.

With elegant architecture and sparkling canals, Venice bears more than a passing resemblance to its Italian namesake. Those similarities aside, Venice is a slice of classic Americana at its best. A historic shopping district, beautiful beaches and lively street festivals make it a sophisticated destination with all the charm of an Old Florida small town.

Venice streets located west of Lincoln Boulevard currently do not have overnight parking restrictions, as they are situated in an area under the jurisdiction of the California Coastal Commission, which does not want parking restrictions to inhibit beach access. While there are some existing overnight parking limits in Venice, they are in areas east of Lincoln and outside coastal commission jurisdiction.

Relais agritourism Ormesani [42] is located in San Liberale di Marcon, conveniently placed to access the highway junctions of North Eastern Italy (A4 Trieste – Torino, A27 Mestre – Belluno) and Venice airport 7km. Venice is 20 km. Treviso 25 km. and Jesolo beach just 30 km. The Relais agritourism is near the historic center of Venice and the most famous cultural and tourist sites, such as Treviso and the ancient Altino. Taking the train is the best way of arriving to Venice. Quarto d’Altino station is four and a half kilometers away. A train leaves here every half hour for the historic center (Santa Lucia station faces the Grand Canal!) which brings you to the city in 30 minutes.
