Vancouver Canadians: Teams
built 275 days ago
One of the biggest accomplishments of the Vancouver Canadians has been the integration of the team with the community, especially charitable and youth groups. Not only is the stadium offered to various causes throughout the year, the Canadians staff members, players and coaches make a point of participating in a number of community-based programs.

Kane and the rest of his Vancouver Canadians teammates were ... successful during the holiday season by winning a gold medal at the Richmond Midget International Tournament. Other Giants prospects who play for the Canadians include Cam Reid (Tsawwassen, B.C.), Linden Saip (Ladner, B.C.), and Evan DaSilva (Delta, B.C.). Reid (7th Rd./145th overall) and Saip (8th Rd./166th overall) were 2006 bantam draft picks while DaSilva was placed on the Giants Player Protected List last summer.
Vancouver wouldn't be a genuine Canadian city without its own hockey team since Canadians are fairly fanatical about the sport. Hockey season runs from the middle of September to the middle of April, so if you're going to be in town during that time, chances are you can catch a game at GM Place. Games start at 7:00pm.

Canadians love hockey and residents of Vancouver love their local team, the Vancouver Canucks. Cheering on their team and favorite players is almost a national pastime and if the games are not sold out, seeing a hockey game in person is unforgettable. The sound of the puck speeding across the ice, the speed and skill of the players and the entire atmosphere makes for an unforgettable experience.

canadianslogo120x120.jpg Glenn Hall will be returning for the 2008 season marking his fourth year with the Vancouver Canadians. A die-hard Bruce Springsteen fan, Glenn spends countless hours at Nat Bailey as the ‘Boss’ of all that goes on in the C’s clubhouse. Glenn prepares meals for the team, ensures their uniforms and other personal belongings are ready for each and every home game and is generally every players ‘big brother’ during the season.
