In 2004, the Vancouver Canadians rode good pitching and good hitting to the Northwest League Western Division pennant. In 2005, they rode outrageous pitching and so-so hitting to repeat the dose. VANCOUVER(NEWS1130)- It looked like the Vancouver Canadians were going to win the battle of the first place teams Friday night, until they blew a 4-0 lead after two innings. The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes scored five times in the fourth inning and then hung on for an 8-7 victory to push the C's into second place in the Northwest League's Western Division.
