John Quine was quinine for the Vancouver Canadians. He was supposed to come in to stop a Eugene rally in the sixth inning Sunday. Instead, his wildness cost him as the C’s lost 5-1 to the Emeralds. With a 1-0 lead, Quine replaced starter Pete Figueroa, who had put runners at the corners with one out. Quine tossed a wild pitch to score a run, then gave up a walk and two more wild pitches to bring in another and erase the Vancouver lead. After another walk, he dished up an RBI single to Andy Parrino to make it a 3-1 Eugene ball game.
