Old and new vampires will join Lestat in his haunted environment. Renovations at the Haunted Mortuary are underway and the Grand Opening of the 24/7 Interactive Paranormal Observatory, Lab & Museum is anticipated for Winter 2008. Of the origin of vampires, much is speculated, and little is known. Common theory is that vampires were once a peaceful group of Demonss, content on eating human flesh, swedish fish, and marshmallow peeps. When Egypt enslaved the vampires in 1240 BC (bunnies and cats), they turned into a fearsome group of terrible undead monsters of doom.

Max von Essen has starred on Broadway in The Dance of the Vampires and Les Miserables, as well as most recently Off-Broadway’s Finian’s Rainbow. This past summer he played Patrick Dennis opposite Charles Busch in Auntie Mame at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor.

Others vampires will leave their sired fledglings on their own. This is mostly done as revenge upon a mortal enemy, but some vampires just don’t care. They will leave their children to fend for themselves. Lilith-vampires seem to be more prone to be nurturing types.
